The California Historical Society takes pride in its self-management as a non-profit, membership organization. The Society is governed by an independent Board of Directors who ensure that CHS manages its operations, finances and programs to further its mission and strategic goal. The Board and staff are dedicated to the Society's mission, and are honored by its role as the Golden State's official historical society.
