Think about the 3 styles of label design mentioned on the previous page. Examine the labels. Which ones appeal to you? Why? Now, try to recreate that impact with your own label design. Option 1-Stock Labels Personalize a stock label from the California Historical Society’s collection with your own text. Download a stock label and customize it on your computer with your own graphics program. You can save it as desktop wallpaper, email it to friend, or print it! Print a stock label and customize it with art supplies you have at home! Give them as greeting cards, decorate book and binder covers, home and office signs, and file and storage box labels. Or come up with your own creative use for your label and let us know your idea! Option 2-Online Creations Note: You will be able to print a small version of your design. Your work cannot be saved. To keep and make use of your design, please consider Option 1. Choose from three different label backgrounds and add graphics from historic labels and your own letters. Have fun!
