Citrus
crate labels were often custom designed for individual growers but
sometimes stock designs were used as a quick and inexpensive option.
Stock labels feature an image with open areas on which a growers
brand name and address could be imprinted.
Growers
used a stock label if they wanted an inexpensive, reasonable quality
label. Often stock labels were used when they ran out of their custom
labels or when they needed a different brand name for a lower quality
crop.
