The California Historical Society offers two programs available to businesses:

• A Register of Historic California Businesses lists commercial enterprises that have conducted the same or related business activity for 100 continuous years of operation, regardless of change in location, ownership or name. (Farms and ranches quality if owned by the same family for the past 100 years.) The registry fee of $7,500 includes a five-year corporate membership in the Society and a custom made, bronze plaque recognizing the business, founding date, and date listed in the Historic Business Registry. To nominate your business, please complete the Nomination form.
  
• Advertisement in California History, the magazine of the California Historical Society. For eighty years, California History has published informative articles by leading scholars and writers on the history of California and the West, from pre-Columbian to modern times. Illustrated essays, reviews of significant new books, the "California Checklist" of new publications, and an annual index are regular features of this quarterly publication. California History welcomes advertisements for products and services appropriate to members of the California Historical Society and other readers of the publication.
